What's new in this version:
Basic Edition (1)
-
Internal diagnosis routine optimization
Now it's possible to 'override' all symptoms found by the diagnostician with your own 'user-defined' symptoms. When you create a 'user-defined symptom' at the same position (inside of the spectrum) as the symptom you would like to 'override', then inside all reports only your 'user-defined' symptom will be displayed.
Due to this you are now able to 'rename' symptoms found by the diagnostician. This is very helpful if you have to follow naming-conventions inside your reports or if you have to correct a misinterpretation of the diagnostician.
-
Misalignment recognition optimized
Recognition of 'misalignment symptoms' now will use base frequency and harmonic 2 to 4.
Hints for symptoms in Harmonic 5 to 9 will be shown inside 'Residual Range'.
-
Export of Measurement-Points / Measurements
A function was added that allows you to export all measurement- and configuration data of a measurement point into an external .DDXDS Diagnostician database file. While doing this the Diagnostician takes care that all information will be added that is necessary to show a complete machine hierarchy inside the new database. This means when you export one or more measurement values, the Diagnostician automatically adds the corresponding point- and machine information into the database.
The new database can be opened in the same or any other Diagnostician installation.
So if you are not able to see what's in a spectrum you can just export the spectrum plus all additional information into an external file and send this file to your diagnostic specialist. He can have a look at it without the need to travel to you and send you a fast response via e-mail.
To export data just click with your right mouse button on the appropriate hierarchy element. Inside the context menu you will find the new entry 'Export'.
-
'Ski-slope effects' generate warning messages
To avoid wrong or unnecessary alarms the Diagnostician just ignored so called 'ski-slope effects. From this version on the Diagnostician adds a warning message to the diagnosis report when a 'sky-slope' alarm is detected.
-
Warning- & Error Messages can be hidden
Now you are able to show or hide all warning- and error messages in the diagnosis report. Please use the two new buttons that have been added to the report toolbar.
Standard Edition (2)
-
Exclusion Areas also available for envelope spectrums
The definition of exclusion areas is no longer restricted to frequency spectrums. From this version on you have the possibility to define exclusion areas also for envelope spectrums.
-
Alarm zone display in trend diagram
Now you are able to show all defined alarm zones in trend diagram of machine-measurement report. To show or hide the zones please use the new button in the toolbar of machine-measurement report.

New Function: 'Re-assign Symptom'
After the Diagnostician has finished the diagnosis all results are displayed in the diagnosis status area as small traffic-light symbols
If you see there results that you would like to give another name just click with the right mouse button on the corresponding traffic-light symbol. A context menu will pop up showing you a list of possible actions.
One of these actions is 'Re-assign Symptom'. Clicking on this entry will open the dialog for creating a user-defined symptom, already filled with all parameters needed to create a new symptom that perfectly sits on top of the original symptom.
When you accept the new symptom, the Diagnostician automatically re-runs the diagnosis for the corresponding point to show you directly the new results inside the diagnosis status area.
Sometimes it can happen that several entries are collected under one traffic-light symbol. In this case the Diagnostician first shows a dialog that gives you the possibility to select with which symptom you would like to proceed.
-
New Function: 'Hide Symptom'
This function gives you the possibility to hide a diagnostic result from your report. If there is a symptom you would not like to see into your diagnosis report just click with the right mouse button on the corresponding traffic-light symbol and choose the entry 'Hide Symptom'.
The Diagnostician will open the dialog for creating a new exclusion area, already filled with all parameters needed to create an exclusion area that perfectly hides your original symptom. When you accept the new symptom, the Diagnostician automatically re-runs the diagnosis for the corresponding point to show you directly the new results inside the diagnosis status area.
If there are several symptoms collected under one traffic-light symbol, the Diagnostician opens a dialog where you can select with which symptom you would like to proceed.
